Adícora, is located 12 degrees latitude of the Northern Hemisphere, at the east of the Paraguana Peninsula, and northeast of Falcon State, Venezuela. The Peninsula stands out approximate 50 miles into the Caribbean Sea and its cape is only 17 miles from Aruba. Adícora town is around 35 miles south the eastern end of Aruba and 70 miles west the eastern end of Curacao. This fishermen town, now lives from the tourism, was an important Peninsula port since times of the colony up to 40 years back. You can still appreciate in their homes a strong influence from the Netherlands Antilles.
| Adícora has 2 beaches, North Beach and South Beach. South Beach is ideal for windsurf and Kite practice and annually is the host of national and international competitions.Windsurf sails mostly used are 4.5 and, boards 255 and 265. For Kite practice we have 10 km. of beach in on line, where there is plenty space and excellent wind and waves conditions. Kite mostly used are 5.0, 7.5 and 9.0. | ||

There are 2 airports that serve the transport to the town. Both airports are 40 minutes away from Adícora by car. Punto Fijo airport is outside of that city, maps show it as Josefa Camejo, but for airlines and travel agents it is known as Las Piedras. With the difference to Punto Fijo airport, Coro airport is located in the city. The fastest way to arrive to Adicora is taking a flight to Caracas (Maiquetia) and then from Caracas(Maiquetia) to Coro or Pto. Fijo (las Piedras) airport. You can also fly to nearby islands as Curacao and Aruba and then take a flight to Coro Airport (Las Piedras), the estimated flight time is 25 to 30 minutes. | |||
